Vincenzo Nicolo', Stefano Izzo, Giuseppe Cortellino, Robert Ure and Polina Arienti will be taking part in this year's Newcastle to Edinburgh bike ride to raise money for Transaid.
In September they will be cycling 159 miles (climbing 7,300ft) across two days, from Newcastle to Edinburgh.
The first day’s ride will see cyclists set off in the early hours from the Tyne Estuary and pedal 89 miles along mostly coastal paths and quiet roads, taking in Whitley Bay, Blyth, Northumberland National Park, and the Northumberland Coast - area of uutstanding natural beauty. The day will wrap up in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, just a stone’s throw from the Scottish border.
Day two adds a further 70 miles of riding on mostly country lanes and coastal roads, entering the Tweed valley, climbing Priestlaw Hill and crossing over to Midlothian, before the triumphant arrival at Edinburgh Castle!
Please join us in making a difference and raising money for such a great charity, every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
