This section of my GoFund me application prompts me to, “Tell donors my story…”
Which story? Story of my career? Story of my children? Everyone’s got a story, man, and mine is not much different than anyone else’s.
The most recent chapter in my book sees me as a 55-year-old man, a man who holds three jobs at once, and is just trying to survive. I work 18 hours a day, and handle everything else during the other six.
On April 5, I managed to squeeze a heart attack in to those six hours. The following week, I had two stenting procedures and open heart surgery (Quadruple Bypass).
I went from have three jobs, to having none - for at least 12 weeks, anyway. My bosses at all three are holding my positions, but without pay.
I have health insurance through the government marketplace, which isn’t the greatest.
Im not here asking for $100’s of thousands of dollars to take care of my medical bills - I’ll take care of those over time.
What I am asking is your kindness, compassion and generosity to help me with prescriptions, office visit co-pays, rent, car payment, car insurance, food and other necessities.
It’s difficult for me to ask for help in this manner. But, if my life is going to unravel, at least I can say I tried EVERYTHING.
Thanks so much for reading.
Love,
Jason
