IVDD surgery for Winston

This morning we woke up and one of the worst things a dachshund parent can imagine… Winston couldn’t move his back legs to get out of the kennel. We rushed him to the nearest vet open on Labor Day and sure enough IVDD - he has reflexes in his front legs, some in one of his back legs, but no deep pain response. Meaning surgery is the only option for recovery.

We were referred to surgery for him in St. Paul at the U of M, so this would help cover some of the medical and surgical costs we will be experiencing.

Zane and I are not one’s that like to ask for help often but are at a loss right now. Anything would help and we couldn’t express our gratitude enough.

Like we told the vet today, Winston and Otis are our babies while we don’t have babies right now.
