Hey, thanks for visiting this page. Four years ago today, on 7th April 2020, I lost a dear friend to a rare and undiagnosed heart condition - sudden arrhythmic death syndrome. At the time of his passing, Charles was training to join the Royal Marine Reserves. He was at the peak of his health and his sudden death was a shock and tragedy to all those around him. He was just 24 years old.

Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death globally, taking an estimated 17.9 million lives each year. I would therefore like to raise a bit of money for two charities, the British Heart Foundation, as well as The Swedish Heart Lung Foundation. I will be doing so by competing in the Tough Viking race, which is an 8km obstacle course, taking place on the 4th May 2024 in Stockholm: https://toughviking.se/.

Both Foundations do fantastic medical research - from 3D printed hearts, to internal defibrillators, regenerative medicine and many different lifesaving research projects. They improve and save the lives of many people with heart, lung and circulatory diseases.
