Ivan’s Fight Against Seizures

Hi, my name is Sophia & I am fostering a lovely, cute little 7 month old chihuahua, named Ivan, through the Chihuahua Rescue Indiana. Ivan began his life at IACS after good samaritans brought him in after watching him be thrown from a moving car. He BARLEY weighed 1 pound. That same day, I took him home and he's been apart of my family ever since.

Early this morning, Ivan woke me up after having a possible seizure. He was super disoriented, urinated on himself, and could barely stand. With my background in vet med, I just knew something wasn’t right. Since this morning, he has had three seizures and gone to two different emergency rooms and will be hospitalized at VCA. He has had multiple different diagnostics ran with more coming in the future. There is no diagnosis yet, but the Veterinarians suspect a form of epilepsy.

He has been started on medication that he has to take every 12 hours until further notice.

We’re hoping for him to come home soon, but the rescue has already spent over $2000 caring for my sweet pup and he may need an MRI. If you can donate, we would greatly appreciate it. If you can’t donate, please share to everyone you know. ❣️
