Ivan Rasquin

Hola, mi nombre es Ivanoscar Rasquin y les escribo en nombre de toda mi familia.

Desde el 3 de abril, hemos estado acompañando a mi papa, Ivan Rasquin, en una situación médica muy delicada. Todo comenzó con episodios de sangrado que rápidamente lo llevaron a una condición crítica. Gracias al esfuerzo de los médicos, lograron estabilizarlo y realizar una serie de exámenes para intentar dar con el origen de su cuadro clínico. Aunque el pronóstico sigue siendo incierto, ya nos han informado que necesitará cirugía y tratamiento con quimioterapia.

Como familia, hemos estado haciendo todo lo posible para asumir los gastos. Pero la verdad es que se ha vuelto cada vez más difícil. Quienes vivimos en Venezuela conocemos de cerca la situación del sistema de salud pública: hospitales sin recursos, sin medicinas, sin condiciones básicas. Aunque los médicos hacen su mayor esfuerzo, la mayoría de los insumos deben conseguirse por cuenta propia y a precios muy elevados.

Hasta ahora hemos hecho todo lo posible para cubrir estos costos como familia, pero la situación se ha vuelto insostenible. Los fondos que estamos tratando de reunir se destinarán a insumos médicos (guantes, mascarillas, gasas, jeringas, maquinaria medica para la operacion, etc.) y medicamentos indispensables (antibióticos, analgésicos, protectores gástricos, entre otros).

Hoy, con humildad, recurrimos a su solidaridad. Cualquier aporte, por pequeño que sea, será un alivio en medio de esta batalla y una muestra de apoyo que valoramos profundamente.

Hello, my name is Ivanoscar Rasquin, and I’m writing on behalf of my entire family.

Since April 3rd, we have been by my father Ivan Rasquin’s side as he faces a very delicate medical situation. It all began with episodes of internal bleeding that quickly escalated into a critical condition. Thanks to the efforts of the medical team, he was stabilized, and a series of tests were performed to try to determine the cause of his condition. Although the prognosis is still uncertain, we have already been informed that he will need surgery and chemotherapy.

As a family, we’ve done everything in our power to cover the costs. But the truth is, it’s becoming increasingly difficult. Those of us who live in Venezuela are well aware of the current state of the public healthcare system—hospitals without resources, without medicines, without even basic conditions. Although the doctors are doing their best, most of the necessary supplies must be sourced privately and at very high costs.

Up to this point, we’ve managed to cover the expenses ourselves, but the situation has become unsustainable. The funds we are trying to raise will go toward medical supplies (gloves, face masks, gauze, syringes, and medical equipment needed for the operation) and essential medications (antibiotics, pain relievers, gastric protectors, and others).

Today, we humbly turn to your solidarity. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring relief in the midst of this battle and will be a deeply appreciated gesture of support.
