Ivanna Escaramuza Team

Last year Ivanna joined a team of Mexican style horseback riding called Escaramuza a form of the Mexican sport of Charreria. Ivanna has been obsessed with horses since she was about 2 years old, and finally the opportunity to make her dream come true presented itself through this sport. As you all may know, just like most sports team, this commitment comes with a lot of expenses. Starting out, the team has been able to help us out with a lot of "hand me down" gear, just to be able to teach Ivanna how to ride a horse. In the process, Ivanna has been named captain of her team. Now that we are a year in, the team now qualifies to start competing to represent the Coachella Valley for local competitions and represent the country for bigger competitions withing Mexico. Within the process of teaching Ivanna how to ride, a lot of this borrowed gear has to be repaired or replaced. From the dress and sombrero that they wear, to her saddle, equipment to maintain the horse, boots, and potentially a horse of her own. Being that we are starting to want her to have her own things, trying to fund all this on our own has been a struggle, and have resorted to this as an option to not have to end her dream of riding a horse. This Sport has become the highlight of her life, she counts the days during the week for practice to arrive. I will do everything I can to keep her happiness alive, just like any parent would do.

Ivanna has been part of a few events here locally, and one of her biggest pleasures is seeing how other little girls look at her as if she was something out of this world, she says "Dad did you see the way they were looking at us? They really liked the show we did for them!"

After every event, she can't wait for the next one.

I know she probably won't understand how these donations work and how you guys will be helping making this happen for her, we will be sending videos to each donor saying " thank you" and also her riding so every single one of you can see how your donations have helped, thank you to everyone in advance.

June 2023- Ivanna has now competed all over California and her team has qualified for the national championship in Aguascalientes Mexico. We are asking for help to pay for flights, hotels and horses we need to rent while out in Mexico, this championship is a week long and we need to be in Mexico from July 24th till July 30th. We appreciate all the help from every single one of you.
