It was about thirty years ago when a young, attractive man came into my Ladies Wear Store asking if I would like to buy some fish. He owned a fish truck and set up in Grimshaw twice a week. We became fast friends and Ivan LeBlanc has always been someone I could depend on. He offered to help out with odd jobs around my home and business if ever I needed anything. Over the years Ivan has come to my rescue more times than I can count. He has completed professional installations, from floors to ceiling—always excellent work and fine craftsmanship. He is trustworthy, proficient and dependable.

Now Ivan’s health has failed and I don’t know how in the world I can ever replace him. He has helped so many people—and now he needs our help. Please find it in your heart to come to the aid of this kind man.

It hasn’t been an easy journey for Ivan and his wife Reinalda—they have lost a son in a car accident, sustained a house fire wiping out their entire home and pet family, endured the results of another vehicle accident that left Ivan with a severely injured neck and back; and now Ivan has been diagnosed with Huntingtons Chorea—an incurable disease that worsens over time.

Ivan will be receiving a disability income eventually, but until then he and his wife are in dire straits. They need assistance with medical trips to Edmonton and basic costs of living. It is heartbreaking to see my friends in this predicament and sadly, anyone of us could find ourselves there, we just never know. Please, will you help?
