As many of you know Ivan Mendez was a very respected individual within our breeding community that would do anything for anyone even while fighting an ongoing cancer battle. Unfortunately Ivan lost his 2.5 year battle with cancer last night. This man meant so much to so many people, he definitely left an imprint on many of us. Ivan always saw the good in everything even if there was nothing good to see. There would be so many times he was as sick as could be from his treatments and he always wanted to know what he could do for you. Ivan is going to be greatly missed by many of us. Ivan not only leaves behind many many friends, but he leaves behind his loving wife Jamie and their children. As a strong community we have come together in the past to help Ivan with some of his medical bills while he was fighting his battle. Unfortunately Facebook has really limited they ways we can fundraise. A very good friend is organizing something right now within the breeding community by doing a stud fundraiser of English and French Bulldogs with the hopes of using the purchased donated stud fees to help Jamie and the family with funeral expenses as well as medical bills from the past 2.5 years which the past year Ivan lived at the hospital. I wanted to also start a gofundme in addition because there are several individuals that either do not breed, have a stud to donate or do not have a female to use the stud credit on, but would like to donate to the family to help in this sorrowing time. Also with Facebooks new rules and regulations who knows how long they will or won't allow that fundraiser to happen. For the sake of this family and what all they have went through and endured over the past few years I hope they have some compassion and let it run its course. All fund here will be given directly to Jamie Mendez to help her and her family prepare and make all arrangements to lay Ivan to rest. Any amount will help even if it's just $5.00. Lets give Ivan that one last reassurance that his family is going to be ok as he makes his journey to the heavenly gates. Thank you all for the love and support you have shown this family.
