Remembering Our Friend&Colleague Ivan Jakovac
Sadly, our friend & colleague Ivan Jakovac passed away on 1 October, after a battle with cancer. With him, we lose a fine colleague from the Transformation team and a great friend to work with.
Ivan is survived by his wife and his two children, age 3 and 1. Ivan will be remembered as a friendly person with a big heart and never-ending generosity. He will be missed dearly.
We will keep Ivan and his family in our hearts.
With this fundraising, we plan to provide a small college fund for Julia and Emilio, his children, that will become independent adults in 15 to 17 years.
All the money collected will be wisely invested in a Swiss bank fond to work interest for the time between today and payout. The money will be on a swiss saving account and buy into a fond on a monthly basis ( CHF 50 min, Target is CHF 100 a month). To achieve a monthly buy-in of CHF 50.- we need to fund CHF 9000, to reach CHF 100 as a monthly buy-in CHF 18000).
With interest, this will pay for 2 "exchange years abroad" or 3-4 years of a campus room to go study out of hometown.
Sounds like a lot of money, I agree, but think of it like that:
CHF 1.- a month equals into a one-time payment (or a monthly installment) of CHF 270, with 33 People we are there,
or 2 CHF equals to CHF 540 with the same calculation.
I take of course all amounts, and in case we aren't able to fund the target, we will find other ways to raise it.
