Several months ago Ivan Funk was hospitalized. He'd injured his left foot some time before. What began as a simple wound blossomed into a fully fledged case of cellulitis. This led to a week in Temple University Hospital, two surgeries and the beginnings of kidney failure. It was a harrowing time, to say the very least.

Due to these circumstances, Ivan now finds himself in significant debt. The combination of medical expenses and his inability to work has landed Ivan in a seemingly hopeless situation.

This, of course, is where you come in [if you so choose].

With your help this chap can make his way out of the aesculapian hell he's been banished to. $7,000 is what he needs to pay off his medical bills and expenses. $7,000 is what he needs to get back on his figurative and literal feet.

Why does Ivan deserve this help? Here's a summation for those of you that don't already know the answer to this question:

Ivan has done a whole lot for a whole lot of people pro bono. He's played on, produced and/or mixed countless albums for little-to-no money. He's played in myriad bands in exchange for nothing. He's participated in multifarious charity concerts. He's also rather magnanimous when it comes to diner bills. I am one of many recipients of his generosity, one of many friends that believes the world owes Ivan some goodwill.
