Kodin's medical fund

Kodin has Angelman Syndrome.  He does not follow the typical Angelman description. He is the only one we have ever found that behaves or reacts to the world in the manner in which he does. Unfortunatly in the last two years of finding appropriate placement he has been beaten severely, starved, admitted to the crisis shelter three times, admitted to the hospital 6 times, and generally had very tragic circumstances. At this point he has accumulated $200,000 in medical bills whilst a team of individuals from the Department of Health and Department of Education have tried to find the right situation. As it turns out, no one can handle the care of my son in the United States but me. So, he will be returning to this not ideal living situation until we can make a better one in the furute. Erasing some of his huge debt and adjusting to the future life we will share, is of my utmost concern. I am reaching out to others in the effort to improve the current situation, and allow for my son to have the future he deserves. he has a kind heart. He is of the mental age of a six month old to two year old in a nineteen year old body. he doesn't comprehend that trying to get out of a moving vehicle is dangerous. He cannot express himself with more than three words, or his five sign language gestures he has mutated because he is not dexterious enough to sign more than that. He cannot stop moving, has a very slight attention span, is very fast, strong, tall and he used to 220lbs, and is now 90lbs. He doesnt sleep through the night. I am scared for his future, and our safety. I would like to find a palce for us to resid that has fences and safety features, but cannot fathom how we can move forward with such a huge hospital bill. He has been at the Psych ward at Queens hospital which is not apporpriate for him, and it is dangerous. The insurance company will not cover his expenses, because they have no catagory to place him in. Having devalopmental disabilities as an adult does not yeald the best situations, or in this case any situation. So, if he could ask for your help he would..but I shall instead.
