It’s time to help Peter O’Neil ❤️

An update from Pete!

I am still months from being able to work again! Doing home therapy for the physical part suffered from the stroke, but the big issue is the brain drain! I tire very easily, my level of concentration is very short. The brain gets heavy and headaches come on! I am without a licence until doctor approved. Financially, I still have my car payments to make, insurance, bi weekly mortgage and housing costs. Jesse is not working as much as she is my caregiver. So, living on the bit that she is bringing in along with my disability pension, which is not as big as people think it is! Thank you to everyone who has donated- it has been such a gift to not have to worry about immediate bills. Please share as Jess and I look at long term finances ❤️

A note from Peter ❤️
To my dear friends and family who have so generously donated to assist us. Knowing that in this time of need having people like yourselves to help is amazing and comforting.! I am a pretty stubborn Irishman and am fully intend to get feeling better! This has been an eye opening experience. I am feeling better and those assisting me are very happy with my progress! Thanks for all the love and support! I will stay in touch! Love to you all!❤️

UPDATE!
Today, Pete got up out of bed for the first time in just over 24hrs WOOHOOOOO!!! Walked about 150m with the assistance of his walker, felt good to get up and walk around he said. Left side is still a little weak and speech is a tad bit slurred but with time both will improve

Went for another CT scan this afternoon, neurosurgeon said the clot hasn’t moved and isn’t bleeding
Going to start a new medication tomorrow to try and dissolve the clot.

The team at PRHC has done the BEST job at taking proper care of Pete during this difficult time.
We are SO hopeful

If you know Pete- you’ve likely been on the receiving end of his encouraging words, big hugs, and kind smile.
Hopefully you haven’t been on the opposing sports team that he’s cheering for though, or you’ve definitely heard about it!
To know Pete is to know kindness, love and determination. Which is why it’s hard to imagine him being down and out. Unfortunately Peter suffered a stroke on Thursday October 10. He’s currently being well taken care of at PRHC and the family is eagerly waiting to hear his prognosis (hopefully more details tomorrow).
We know that this will mean loss of income for the family as they support his recovery. Please give if you can to ease the financial burden. Share this link and send all the love to Pete and his family.
