It's Hug Lady's (AKA Peggy Heim) 70th Birthday!
If you have ever met Peggy, you definitely got a hug! For years, she has given them to countless people living on Skid Row and almost anyone she meets. Her homeless friends loved her for it. They called her "Mama Peggy ". Some of them would tell her not to hug them because of their poor hygiene living on the streets, but she didn't care and hug and love them anyway.
Well, she is turning 70, and it's time to celebrate the life of this beautiful, selfless, loving woman.
Peggy had been a big sister, mom and confidant to those that know her. Many of us have asked this prayer warrior to stand in faith when we were faithless and she never turned us down. She faithfully served in Skid Row for many years and brought food and love to her Skid Row friends every Sunday morning. She prayed for them and with them all the time. She shed tears of joy when friends moved to homes in other areas, and she cried for the ones that didn't make it out.
Now, she needs us. She has been suffering from health issues throughout these past few years that have become financially burdening and unsustainable. She is facing new surgeries next year and it is time for us to help her.
Her birthday is December the 30th and she needs to start the New Year with a financial blessing like she has not seen in years. Can you prayerfully consider helping her?
