Dearest friends and family,
I’m starting this GoFundMe for Tiff and Britt, because it’s our turn now.
Our turn to show up the way they always do: steady, thoughtful, and full of love.
Tiff and Britt are the kind of people who always show up. The ones who reach out first. The ones who remember the little things: birthdays, check-ins, the “how did that appointment go?” text, the quiet support when no one else sees it. They give love in a way that makes you feel held, and they do it without ever expecting anything in return.
And because they’re those people…asking for help isn’t easy. They’ll downplay it. They’ll say they’re okay. They’ll keep going for everyone else.
But right now, it’s our turn to be there for them.
Tiff has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the next couple of weeks, she’ll undergo additional scans and treatment will begin as soon as possible. Tiff will be leaving work shortly to focus on this ultimate fight. Britt will need to take unpaid time off to support her through appointments, treatment days, recovery, and the day-to-day pieces that become harder during cancer care. Anyone who’s been close to cancer knows it doesn’t just affect one person. They are carrying this together.
The last thing we want is for Tiff and Britt to worry about money while they’re trying to get through this. They need the ability to prioritize what matters most, Tiff’s aggressive treatment, recovery, and healing, without the constant pressure of finances. And the reality is that this comes at the exact worst time: reduced income, while being hit with increased costs that most people never see coming. Beyond prescriptions, treatments, supplies, travel, parking, and follow-up care, there are also insurance-related costs, private medical expenses, and other cancer-related costs that add up quickly, all stacked on top of mortgage, groceries, bills, and everything that doesn’t stop.
This fundraiser is our way of saying: We’ve got you, Tiff and Britt. You don’t have to carry this alone. Let us take some of the weight, so you can focus on what matters most: Tiff’s healing and getting through treatment one day at a time.
Funds raised will go toward supporting them with:
Mortgage and utilities
Groceries and day-to-day living expenses while Tiff is off work (and as Britt needs to take unpaid time off to support)
Transportation to treatment and appointments
Medication, insurance, private medical, and other cancer-related costs
Anything that helps reduce stress and keep their home stable during this time
It’s December, a season where we talk about giving, family, friends, and love. If Tiff and Britt have ever supported you, checked in on you, helped you, encouraged you, or made you feel remembered… this is our chance to return that love in a real, practical way.
If you can donate, thank you. If you can’t, please share this fundraiser or send them a message. Every donation helps, and every kind word reminds them they’re not walking through this alone.
If you’d like to support in other ways, such as preparing meals, providing groceries, or offering rides to and from appointments, please reach out to Elizabeth Harding (co-organizer of this gofundme) with your name and what you'd like to help with. She’ll share more details in the coming weeks as Tiff’s treatment plan becomes clearer. She will also be creating a shared calendar so everyone can coordinate and ensure nothing is missed. For now, financial contributions make the biggest impact, but any form of support is deeply appreciated. Our goal is to make sure we’re covering all the bases and supporting Tiff and Britt in every way possible
Even the strongest hearts deserve to be held. Let’s be that for Tiff and Britt.
With love,
Chantal & Elizabeth
