It’s our turn to support our girl and show her the love she so desperately deserves.
On November 20 at 5:30am, Courtney was hit head on by an uninsured drunk driver going to work.
Due to the collision, she has suffered from several severe injuries requiring surgery/surgeries. Court is in excruciating pain with a fractured sternum, broken right wrist (her dominant hand), broken left ankle that requires surgery and a shattered L2 vertebrae. The shatter caused a loose bone chip to go into her spinal column leaving her spine unstable for 24 hours until neurosurgery could remove it and place the pins/rods to stabilize her back. The 24 hours until surgery were excruciating, as she could not move anything without risking stability in her spine.
In addition to the surgeries, injuries, and mental load this brought on, this is going to be an expensive road to recovery; her car is totaled along with medical expenses, expenses of making her home more accessible and many other things as she will also be off work for an extended period of time while still having every day expenses needing to be paid.
If you know Court, then you already know that she is the kindest, most compassionate and caring person you could possibly meet. Truly a give you her last dollar, shirt off her back, drop what she’s doing and come to you, put her own needs aside to meet yours where you are type of girl. She’s never met a stranger and is always the light of every room she walks in and this will impact so much of her quality of life going forward.
Through it all, she has thanked every medical professional and emergency staff to help her and she still yet, hopes the opposing driver is doing okay despite the pain this has caused.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our girl, if you can make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated however prayers and good thoughts, well wishes and shares of her gofundme are still such a blessing.
I just hope we can all come together and rally for her the way she has for each of us in our own time of need and celebration.
