It's Kidney Transplant Time!

Hi, my name is Shellie and I am fundraising for my sister Heather Bunner. Heather is finally having her kidney transplant. Heather was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease at the age of 18. For the past 2 years she has been in Stage 5 kidney failure. Everyone that knows Heather knows she has been putting up a brave fight. She has been taking care of her children and working very hard to the best of her ability to keep things as normal as possible for her family.

Last October, someone amazing, anonymously donated a kidney in her name but that donor was not a match for Heather. That person's generosity enabled Heather's transplant team to search for a paired match. Last week her doctors let her know that they had found a match, and the transplant surgery is scheduled for November 9th!

Heather will be out on disability for quite some time and will need help with medical and everyday living expenses. With support from her friends and family we are hoping to help her get through this challenging time without the added worry of making ends meet.
