Hi, my name is Sarah and I am fundraising to try to cover some unexpected medical bills. I recently broke my left hand, wrist and arm. I am broke and even with monthly payments on these new bills, I am paying off other bills from last year, and more medical bills are expected. It's hard to ask for help. I've been on my own all my life, but I'm asking for a little help now, or I'm not going to make it. I am trying to rehome all or most of my pets while I still can be the person who carefully selects the new owners, so I know they will be taken care. I had a little bit of health insurance that was going to start in January 2024 along with Medicare A. Of course I got hurt December 2023 before the insurance kicked in. And then after I went to a follow up visit to the hand surgeon in January, I find out that Medicare A only covers me if I admitted into the Hospital, even though I was referred by the hospital and the practice states on the Hospital website that it is part of the hospital. So I am in financial as well as physical trouble right now. If I can get a little help, hopefully I can continue to cover my other bills and once I am out of the deep end, I will pay it forward and help others.
These funds will be to cover the expenses from the hospital ED visit the day I got hurt, physician, radiology, imaging and hospital bill. I will have more bills from the surgeon's office, exams, radiology, and possibly surgery. The surgeon was mad at me because I didn't have surgery right after I was hurt. I had to keep working, broken arm and all, because I am trying to pay my bills. I don't have PTO or benefits as a contract worker. If I had to take off work or was unable to work, I would lose my job. I had to take care of my pets, but now I am brokenheartedly trying to find them new loving homes, because it is the best thing for them. If I lose my house, they wouldn't have anywhere to live anyway. Today I got another hit that the insurance company I have my homeowner's insurance through and that I have been with decades is not renewing my policy in February, not because of me, but of hurricanes along the coast. I've never filed a claim and live a quiet life in an X flood zone. I just need a little help. Please and thank you.
