It’s go time for a new kidney!

What does one do when you have two great friends who would never ask for help even when it is needed? Well, you do it for them!!! That’s the case here. Octavia and Heather are two of our great friends and they are going through an incredible journey together. Octavia has a rare autoimmune disorder that for some reason aggressively attacked her kidneys. The aggression was such that it left her in desperate need of a transplant. Enter Heather. Heather is a hardworking, big hearted, single mom who just happens to be a perfect match to donate her kidney to Octavia. So that’s exactly what Heather is going to do.

Here’s where the help needed comes in. Heather will be out of work for around 6-8 weeks. That means no pay as her employer does not offer paid time off for such a selfless act. Octavia will have medications that will run her around $1,000 a month, and that’s after insurance.

We are asking you to please donate whatever you can to help these two amazing women get through the next few months. We know our goal is lofty but we are confident that we can reach it because of the kindness and love of their friends and family.
