More information about Greater Minneapolis Community Connections (Gmcc): Greater Minneapolis Community Connections (GMCC) mission is to unite people of faith to serve people in need. We transitioned from Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches to Greater Minneapolis Community Connections primarily because the new name better reflects our transition to a more inclusive interfaith organization. We remain committed to our focus on mobilizing people and organizations to fight hunger, promote food access, connect youth to mentors, educate people about the realities of poverty and privilege, and strengthen community through service. Kinship Greater Twin Cities and Urban Immersions programs focus primarily on serving people living in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Minnesota FoodShare, is a state-wide program.
