Summer is always our busiest season: from ‘World Oceans Day’ on June 8th, to July 5th, “the dirtiest beach day of the year” (trash left behind after ‘Independence Day’), followed by ‘Labor Day’, “the unofficial last weekend of summer,” and finally culminating in ‘International Coastal Cleanup Day’ on the third Saturday in September.

It’s been a tough year, and like the rest of you, we took a real beating this summer! Rent, fuel, and supplies costs are all up, while donations and volunteering are down, and the need kept growing exponentially, from record trash left behind after the ‘Independence Day’ 250 celebrations to political advocacy, as critical environmental protections were removed.

We need to raise as much money as we can this week, heading into Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026, to continue our mission of ocean awareness, advocacy, and action.

We must pay off some summer bills before International Coastal Cleanup Day, the world's largest single-day volunteer effort for the ocean and waterways. We historically participate with and/or fund other like-minded individuals and groups. But our participation this year is in jeopardy if we cannot recoup some funds.

The 41st annual Coastal Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026. Please volunteer at a cleanup near you. If not, consider donating to another local cleanup group or us. Mahalo for all your support!

Please give only if you are able.

About Us: Wet Tribe is not just a brand, we are a movement, on a hero’s journey to save our ocean planet. It is a true David vs Goliath story; a small band of surfers, scientists, and activists pitted against trillion-dollar fossil fuel interests, beachfront real estate developers, plastics manufacturers, and corporate polluters, all lobbying to stop us. Join the fight! “We are not strangers separated by countries; we are a tribe connected by oceans.” We are Wet Tribe, we are “tide to the ocean” and we are rising!
