IT'S ABOUT THE VIBES!

Hi, Greg Adams here… I have been a professional musician since I was 16 years old. I joined the Musicians Union Local 6 – San Francisco. I grew a mustache and started smoking cigarettes to make me look older and with a fake ID to get into clubs before I could drink. (The cigarette thing... not a good idea) I became a founding member of Tower of Power, and we recorded our first album in 1970, East Bay Grease. I embarked on a career as a trumpet player and an arranger, a journey I am grateful for, spanning 52 years.

So Why am I here? Good Question! The music industry has changed dramatically. It is a mere shadow of what it once was. Gone is the support of record companies for recording budgets, promotion, publicity, radio, touring and overseeing the artistic development of recording artists.

So Here I am… asking you to join me on this journey in recording a new East Bay Soul CD. East Bay Soul is an expansive ensemble of some of the best musicians I have ever played with! We are a blend of Funk Jazz, R&B and Soul.

VIBES is the working title for now and will be the 6th East Bay Soul CD. All have been produced in part through crowd-funding, just like this. We have successfully created and delivered quality projects that have come to embody our unique sound.
