ITP 467 Capstone - RAMCAMPAS, Cal Poly

Hello everyone! We are RAMCAMPAS, a group of nine Industrial Technology and Packaging students out of California Polytechnic State University’s Orfalea College of Business. Currently, we are seeking support for the completion of our senior capstone course, ITP 467: Applied Business and Production Management. Through this course we have been allotted a 10-week period to design, produce, and market a specified quantity of units for an assigned prompt. Our 2024 capstone Prompt focuses on designing and building furniture that ships or packs flat, prioritizing clever flat-packing mechanisms, ergonomic considerations, efficient material usage, and aesthetic appeal.

Based out of Wine Valley on California’s Central Coast, we are working to bring together Cal Poly’s Industrial Technology and Packaging department to connect with local wineries in the area to develop a product to elevate the wine experience. With that, our goal is to bring sustainability into a luxury market, and in doing so will be crafting out flat pack furniture products using the finest of materials to meet our market's needs. In doing so, we need your support to ensure we are able to craft out products using the highest of class materials that we can ensure ethical sourcing and manufacturing practices have been applied to.

Our work is self-funded by our team members. While we have already put forth thousands of dollars of our own money, we still need YOUR help to reach our goal of raising $2,000. Any and all support would be greatly appreciated to help us achieve our goal! The support received will go directly towards raw materials, market research, and the production of our product.
