As many of you knoW, I am riding my bicycle from Amsterdam to Athens, Greece over the course of 3 months!!!

I departed PIT on 6/15/15 and I arrived in Amsterdam 25 hours late and finally had my luggage and bike in hand another 4 hours later. It's been rough. I spent 24 unexpected hours in Toronto and that was just the beginning. Due to my delay bc of missing luggage, I missed an entire non-refundable night in AMS. Just today, as I'm finalizing my packing for tomorrow's bicycle departure, I recognize a large crack in my helmet.

I knew things things might happen, but I hoped they wouldn't. So here I am: in hopes that all of you might support me with my unexpected travel emergency fund. I'm currently about $150 over budget and need to purchase a helmet tomorrow. I'm guesing that will be another $100.

This is what it is: an EMERGENCY fund. I planned for this trip for a year, I set aside money, I saved some money, but some things are just, well, unexpected.
