Italian Master's in Food and Farming
Donation protected
Hello friends and family,
Welcome, and thank you for investing your energy into my journey! My name is Alexandra and I was recently accepted as 1 of 23 students into the Master of Agroecology and Food Sovereignty program at the University of Gastronomic Sciences (UNISG) in northern Italy. I have dreamed of attending UNISG for about a decade, and this new Master’s program is an intersection of all my passions in food, farming, and holistic wellbeing.
The Master's is one year long, including 6 months of study on campus, a 3 month internship within a global farming community, and a final 3 months in Italy to write my thesis. Through the program, I am excited to experiment, connect more deeply with the earth and with people, and grow within community together.
My personal mission is to nourish, nurture, and empower others through creating meaningful connections with the earth and with each other, and my long-term vision is to reimagine food communities and current food systems by creating spaces for people to connect through food, learning, and service. Through collaboration, education, and creativity, I seek to build a sustainable holistic community through the lens of agroecology. I believe that UNISG will lead me closer to this dream.
I am reaching out for assistance from anyone interested and able to provide support for my studies abroad because I have been without a stable source of income since April 2021. The program starts September 22, so I have about 3 months to fundraise. The Master's fees are €16,500 altogether, not including travel or rent for housing.
I am asking for help towards partial cost, which would greatly reduce my financial burden. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated! No amount is too small, and I am grateful for each and every donation.
Thank you all for believing in me and investing in my future! I am excited to share my next chapter with you and feel very blessed to have you in my life.
With love and gratitude,
Alexandra
