Italian Gardens COVID-19 Support
Donation protected
Dear Italian Gardens Family,
Over the course of our 30+ years of business we have endured plenty of highs and lows, have made some amazing memories and created a strong family like bond within the Towson community. However, with that said, we have never experienced something quite like what is going on today due to COVID-19. It seems as if with the blink of an eye our business has been flipped upside down and our staff and employees’ livelihoods with it.
Throughout the last month or so as management, we have been working countless hours whether on the phone or through application websites to get approved for whatever financial support resources have been made available through government stimulus packages. We’ve worked closely with the Maryland Department of Commerce, the Small Business Administration and local primary lenders. We are very grateful that these options have been made available, however unfortunately we are not the only ones in a bind and time is not in our favor. Our applications have been ‘in review’ for quite some time now with no guidance as to when loans or financial support will be provided and our greatest fear is that we won’t receive any support until it is too late.
As management, we have gone back and forth with the idea of a setting up a GoFundMe or fundraiser because we know as stated earlier, we are not the only ones in a tough situation at the moment, but we feel as if we have exhausted all of our resources and have no choice but to reach out to our community in this time of need. There are plenty of us that are currently in a much more stable and fortunate position than others right now, and so it is of those that we ask for your support.
We have created this GoFundMe not for the funds to go into inventory, or utilities expenses or rent. This GoFundMe has been created solely for the purpose of supporting our staff and employees that are in some of the toughest positions they’ve had to experience throughout their entire lives. We greatly appreciate any and all support as we navigate through these trying times. We would like to express our greatest gratitude to all that have supported us throughout the years and have become like family.
All funds donated will be accounted for with the utmost transparency with receipts and photographs to confirm that all funds will be used for the sole purpose of supporting employees and staff in the form of payroll.
In addition to our Italian Gardens family we would also like to thank the great State of Maryland for taking the necessary precautions in order to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19 and all of our healthcare workers that our risking their lives to help fight this disease and prevent it’s further spread.
We hope everyone is practicing social distancing, staying healthy and staying positive. We look forward to reuniting with everybody as soon as possible!
With positivity and hope,
Italian Gardens Management
