IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO FIGHT AGAINST CANCER

Raising funds to support Kassandra Haughton’s cancer treatment in Mexico.

Note: Ava-Daun Miller (cousin) and Alexis Robb (cousin) are raising funds for Kassandra Haughton and she will be sole beneficiary of these funds.

Dear friends, family, and community members,

Over the last few years we have rallied around Kassandra as she first learned about her breast cancer diagnosis. Not wanting to be a burden on anyone we have mostly kept her diagnosis private, hoping that through various therapies, lifestyle changes and newer technologies we could support her in the healing journey. Since this time Kassandra has found that she needs more support as her body is rapidly declining. We have found a clinic in Mexico that believes they can help her through various procedures, therapies and treatments.

This is where we need your love and support. Her treatment is scheduled to occur over a 4-6 week period and will take place outside of Canada. Each week she is in treatment she will be required to pay $7,500 as an outpatient, as well as additional costs for accommodations, food, and transportation.

During this process we have learned that while everyone’s cancer journey and road to recovery may look different one thing is constant; each of us have been impacted by cancer in one way or another and that’s what unifies us in the fight against cancer.

Kassandra is a remarkable individual and we’re not ready to lose her yet. She is always involved in the community, active in her church, and possesses an incredible heart for serving others. She is respected by her colleagues and is someone many look up to.

We firmly believe the power of unity and collective generosity can make a difference. This is why we have created this GoFundMe campaign to provide the necessary financial assistance that will alleviate the burdens associated with medical treatments, medications, and other expenses, allowing Kassandra to focus fully on her recovery.

We have witnessed firsthand the positive impact our cousin has made in the lives of others through her selfless acts of kindness, her unwavering support, and her love for everyone around her. Now, it is our chance to reciprocate that love and support during this difficult time.
