It takes a village! Let's help Tina & Carter!

UPDATE 2: WOW!! Can you believe it?! As of this update, we have raised $5,565! The generosity of this community is mind-blowing! Thank you so much everyone! We have already raised more than we imagined, and we are thanking our lucky stars for all of the wonderful benefactors who have given Tina and Carter such incredible help!
However, we have updates on Tina's prognosis and her continuing need: Per the doctor's orders, Tina is not allowed to return to work for 3 months. At least. Because of this, we are raising our goal again. We did the math, and if we can double what we have, Tina can heal and get back on her feet, literally as well as financially! Can you help us match our funds?
The money we have raised up to this point is almost enough to keep Tina and Carter housed and fed through January, but Tina needs to replace her vehicle and buy new work equipment as well. We estimate the vehicle replacement costs - including probable repairs, inspection, registration, and taxes - to be around $4,000 (hopefully) and her work equipment to be around $350. Further, they will need funds for living expenses in February as well. If all goes well medically, Tina is planning to be back at work in February, but she will need to pay February rent before her income picks up again.
Living expenses for 4 months estimated to be $7,000 (We're almost there!),
Plus our calculation for the car and equipment $4,350 (We can totally get there!) =
Our new goal, matching what we already have!! $11,350! We can do it! Please help Tina and Carter!
UPDATE: Hooray! We reached our first goal! A huge huge thank you to everyone who donated already! I know that Tina has been blown away by everyone's kindness.
After speaking with Tina about her needs and the long road ahead of her, we realized that we needed to set a new goal. If you have already donated what you can (again, thank you), would you please share the fundraiser with your networks? Getting more exposure will help as well. We will keep everyone updated on how things are going and let you know the truly positive impact you have made in Tina and Carter's lives. Much love!

Hello, friends!
You may or may not know me. My name is Megan Calla, and I am a member of the White River valley community. I only recently met Tina and her son Carter this year, but I immediately felt her warmth and was lucky enough to be on the receiving end of her kindness. When my family was struggling with multiple health problems this summer, and we desperately needed help around our house, I asked you, our community, who I should turn to for help. So many of you said, "Tina!" I absolutely understand why.
Tina helped me through a very dark time this year, and now, I would like to help Tina while she is in need.
Over the last month, Tina and Carter have been met with challenge after challenge. First, she and Carter had a mandatory quarantine when Carter was exposed to covid. Then, she was sick, and then Carter developed pneumonia. This has caused Tina to be out of work for almost an entire month. Obviously, finances have been tight.
But Tina was on the rebound! She was accepting clients and scheduling jobs, and on her way to recovering. But then...
Two days ago, Tina was in car accident and suffered a compression fracture in her spine. She is in real pain and cannot work for the foreseeable future. She is struggling to find a hospital that is set up to treat her injury. She is scared for herself and her future health, but, as always, her main concern is about how she can support her son. Everything Tina does is for her love of her son, and if we can help alleviate some of the financial stress, she can focus on healing and caring for Carter.
Anything you can spare will be more than Tina has right now. Even the smallest gift will make a huge impact, and all together, we can make a huge difference for this small but loving family!
Thank you for helping me repay Tina for what she has done for me this year!
Much love,
Megan
