It Takes a Village: Support the Ortega’s after accident

Hello, my name is Gabrielle. I am Daniella’s little sister and Carlos (affectionately known by family and friends as “Monkey”) is my brother-in-law. Carlos was in a serious car accident on his way to pick up his youngest daughter yesterday afternoon (4/10). He was transported by ambulance to the nearby hospital where he underwent imaging and was taken straight away into his first surgery. Thank the Lord that he is alive and stable. However, he did suffer from extensive injuries to his arm, leg, and head. These will require multiple surgeries with specialists as well as a lot of follow-up care and therapy in the next several months. I am creating this GoFundMe to help pay Carlos’ medical bills and help support his family financially in the meantime as his wife will be taking some time off from work to help him navigate his surgeries and recovery.

My sister and Carlos are the most kind-hearted people I know. Not only are they the beloved and active parents to their 5 children, but they also love and open their home to their MANY doting nieces, nephews, family, and friends. They are ALWAYS willing to drop what they are doing to help others in their time of need, but today they need us. Please, whatever you can donate, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Hola, me llamo Gabrielle. Soy la hermana pequeña de Daniella y Carlos es mi cuñado. Carlos sufrió un grave accidente de coche ayer por la tarde (10/3) cuando iba a recoger a su hija menor. Fue trasladado en ambulancia al hospital más cercano, donde le realizaron pruebas de imagen y lo llevaron de inmediato a su primera cirugía. Gracias a Dios está vivo y estable. Sin embargo, sufrió lesiones graves en el brazo, la pierna y la cabeza. Estas requerirán múltiples cirugías con especialistas, así como mucho seguimiento y terapia durante los próximos meses. Estoy creando este GoFundMe para ayudar a pagar las facturas médicas de Carlos y apoyar económicamente a su familia mientras tanto, ya que su esposa se tomará un tiempo libre del trabajo para ayudarlo con sus cirugías y su recuperación.

Mi hermana y Carlos son las personas más bondadosas que conozco.
