"It Takes a Village" ... Barry Lamb

As we have seen such an abundance of support and love throughout our father's last journey, I want to say THANK YOU! He has met, known and loved so many people. If you met him once, please know you were still in his heart and on his mind until the day he departed. He truly is the definition of love, forgiveness and family. It has meant so much knowing that he has touched your hearts in the same way he filled ours.
As some know, this final journey began in November 2021. It started with confusion and led to nearly complete muscle loss. As we fought with doctors to heal him, nobody seemed to have any answers. His carbon dioxide levels would elevate regularly. Which, in turn, kept him on 24/7 oxygen. As one hospital couldn't help, they sent him off to rehab. Only to be transported to another hospital within 72 hours. He never left that hospital, passing away surrounded by loved ones Saturday 1-22-22 at 4:44 am.
Death is the most unexpected-expected thing we face in life. As months before this hospitalization, he finally cracked down and bought Mom a new car to make driving safer for her. That decision was made, not knowing she would end up with only one income and months of hospital bills included shortly after.
When life puts these unexpected situations upon us, the only way to make it through is with the help of a village. As we lay our father, Barry Lamb, to rest this week, we hope to help ease the stress of this painful transition for his wife/ our mom, Sheila Lamb.
