Hi, I’m Lee and my road here hasn’t been easy—and I still have a ways to go.

This past winter was brutally cold, and I was just a young stray cat trying to survive. I found my way into the backyard of a kind family. I saw their indoor cats through the windows and hoped that maybe, just maybe, someone would let me in. I was friendly, I purred, I rubbed up against their legs, and it worked. They reached out to Pet Patrol and offered to foster me until I could find a home.

But I was still unneutered, and they sometimes let me outside… just for a bit. One day I came back limping. I had a bite wound on my paw. The vet cleaned it, and I was put on antibiotics. But then, two more bite wounds showed up—this time further up my leg. Just as they cleared, I had another set of punctures appear near my ankle. The infections had spread under my skin. I needed more antibiotics, more vet visits, and more care.

And just when we thought I was finally in the clear, lesions appeared in my mouth..... My immune system is exhausted, and healing takes more time now. But my spirit? That hasn’t dimmed for a second.

I still chirp at every volunteer who walks by. I still reach out for love and soak up every bit of affection I can. I still believe in the promise of a pain-free future. And Pet Patrol believes in me, too.

But I need your help. My vet bills are adding up quickly, and I’m not done yet. If you can donate toward my recovery, you’ll be helping a very good boy get the second chance he’s never stopped hoping for.
