DEVASTATED

It is with terrible sadness that I am creating this Gofundme account.  Jeremiah was an absolutely adorable boy. He always had a smile on his face. He never played video games but rather chose to play outside from sun up to sun down. He built the most amazing forts. He was adored by his two older sisters and his mom and dad. He was the youngest and their only son.. His mom and dad are devoted and loving parents. His mom homeschooled all her children for most of their education and did her best to protect them and keep them from harm. I know this because I have been friends with this family and we were neighbors for over 25 years.  His mom and I were pregnant with our firstborns at the same time and our babies were born a week a part. We were also very close with our second borns. Our children played together almost everyday when they were young.  Jeremiah was full of life and he grew into a happy, handsome young adult. He was finding his way at 19 and was taking classes to become a medical technician. Sometime during his 19th year he was introduced to Oxycodone. As you may know this drug is highly addicting.  His parents found out when he failed a drug test at school. He was getting help for his addiction. He successfully completed a detox program and was seeing a therapist for guidance. He was doing really well and was able to start school again. He was looking forward to his future. Two nights ago he went out and when he came home he talked with his mom, dad, and sister, everything seemed completely normal. However, it wasn't!!!! !  Jeremiah had somehow gotten a hold of some heroin and taken it. Heroin is believed to be cheaper and much easier to get than Oxycodone. He didn't know it was laced with fentanyl and that he would die that night. He  had no idea the devastation he was going to cause his family. He was only 19 years old.  His mom found him the next morning but he was gone. She frantically called 911 but there was nothing they could do except call the coroner. I can't imagine going thru this. It is a horrific nightmare. I have tried not to ask for much in my life but I am sincerely and passionately asking for help for this family. The family is distraught and the mom cannot go back to work at this time. She is barely functioning. They will not be able to afford a burial and will not be able to afford to stay in their home much longer. Please consider donating to this family. They are extremely private people but I have shared their sons name. This family really needs help. They need to have time to learn how to breathe again and not have to worry about how they are going to pay their bills.
