“It Happened On A Tuesday” is a new comedy play that merges the workplace sitcom with the structure of Akira Kurosawa’s Rashomon. The play follows an office sent into turmoil when an envelope full of cash is stolen from the receptionist’s office. Determined to figure out who is responsible, the boss interrogates each of his employees, asking them to walk him through their version of that seemingly ordinary Tuesday. As we see each perspective, told in a fresh, unique style, the audience begins to piece together clues, and build their own idea of what happened and who was behind it. “It Happened On A Tuesday”, created by new theatre company CTRL-ALT Productions, is a chaotic and hilarious piece of theatre with a slow-burn mystery at its core. It asks the question: in a world where everyone believes their own version of the truth, how can we ever be truly objective?
