Hi my name is Stacie, I am a life long sufferer of Eosinophilic asthma. Asthma is a common chronic illness that affects the lungs and airways. This illness impacts 4.3 million adults in the UK which is 1 in 12 adults. Sadly in the UK 4 people die each day due to asthma attacks, 2 out of 3 deaths are preventable. Since 2019 I have been in and of Winchester Hospital on the Shawford Ward under the care of the respiratory team. This team go above and beyond. They are a stretched team who like most hospital teams are, but they have shown me care and attention and done all they can to help my recovery process which will be long and challenging. I would like to give something back to this ward and raise money to give them much needed funds to help them continue their support to other patients.
To do this I am climbing up Mount Snowden in wales it is 3,560 feet tall. Which on average takes 4-7 hours. This will be a huge challenge for me given I am still in recovery but one I want to take to show the ward and team how much their support and care means to me.
The money raised will go directly to the ward which they will use for much needed resources. I am grateful to any one who can donate anything to this cause and if you can’t donate please share and help me reach my target.
