Charlie is my closest friend, not only a friend but a brother in my heart. My name is Yoko. We've known each other for 18+ years, we've fish together, play volleyball together, and amazingly share the same anniversary date, although I beat him by 5 years.

Last September 2013, Charlie was rushed to the emergency room. He was later on diagnosed with Liver Cancer. They didn't say what "number" stage he was in except for that it was an advanced stage due to the size and the rapid growth. Since his diagnose it's been in and out of the hospitals from here to Chicago to Reno. As if emotionally and physically it wasn't enough already, a lot of these visits are out of pocket and has now become a financial hardship as well. He's the only provider for his young family but now he's no longer able to work.

Charlie is definitely a fighter, he's been told a few times he may not make it, yet he'd pick himself back up and push on. He's been told no liver transplant, no traditional chemo. His biggest supporter his wonderful wife Ching, always at his side, always looking for new treatments, new ways to fight the cancer. About a month ago he was told he's at the last stage of Liver Cancer.  I won't lie it was very hard to hear those words, but he pulled through and was able to make it home. This once healthy active outgoing young man, has now deteriorated physically.

They have 4 beautiful children; 3 boys and a girl. We ask that if you could help donate and give this deserving family that has gone through so much in the past year the BEST Christmas possible. It would be a glimmer of hope for them to continue fighting on. It would be greatly appreciated from the bottom of our hearts if Charlie and his family can receive this wish and create joyous memories for his children to hold, for whatever the future may bring.


I am happy that as friends, families, and strangers, we can come together at a time when the whole world is celebrating the holidays to provide a deserving family a joyous holiday when they need it most. I would like to thank you beforehand for all your generosity whether your contribution is big or small, every little bit that we can do to help will be greatly appreciated from the bottom of my heart and Charlie and his family.
