Hi everyone,

I am feeling many things, but one thing that stands out is anger. My father, the supporter of my family, was stalked and arrested by ICE. At 5AM this morning, unmarked ICE vehicles followed my dad from his home on his way to work. This is disturbing, as it became apparent that these officers had been following my father, observing his schedule and route to work for months.  These officers were dressed as civilians and arrested my father --without showing an arrest warrant, any paper work, etc. The method that ICE is using is sickening and unfortunately this is not the first time these scare tactics have been used on immigrants. My father did not know his rights and was ultimately taken to a San Bernardino USICS Field Office to be processed. 

My father is a hard working man, yes, with a complicated past, with flaws, but beyond that he has supported us through thick and thin. The least I can do, is try my best to get him legal support and bail him out of the Adelanto Immigration Detention Center. He is diabetic and I do fear that being in that environment will affect his health.

I ask you, if you can, to please donate to help me pay for my father's bail. The court date is unsaid, but I was told he can stay in detention from 3 to 6 months. I was also told his bail will be up to $100,000, if it reaches as high as that, my family and I have to pay 10% ($10,000) for release. I am a huge saver and prepare for the worst so luckily I only ask to fundraise half the possible value and will take on the rest of the cost. Without my father working to support my sister and mom, I will bare the finances of my family. I am also in the process of applying to medical school, which comes with its own cost. I wouldn't ask for donations if this wasn't an emergency situation.
