I am the spiritual  lay-leader of Congregation Tifereth Israel  in Lncoln, NE and we are having our first-ever congregational tour of Israel in June 2017.  Several congregants (teens and adults) would like to join this  tour, but need financial help in order to do so.
 
The goals of the tour are: 
1)      Enhance the Jewish identity of the participants by experiencing the sites and people of Israel, connecting them to our ancient traditions and a sense Jewish rejuvenation.

2)      Enhance the Zionist identity of the participants by experiencing the modern realities of Israel.

3) Foster a new generation of leadership that has a sense of purpose, common Jewish values and experiences.

This trip is about building community and helping us as we begin writing a new chapter in the life of our 100+ year old congregation.  We would like to ensure that lack of finances do not exclude any member from joining us on this life-changing tour.

Monies will be donated to my Lay-Leader Discretionary Account and I will provide a letter for tax deduction purposes.  

We hope to raise these funds during the months of November and December.
