Hello all, this is Israel’s granddaughter here. We are making this gofundme due to some unforeseen life insurance policy difficulties. 100% of these donations will be going to his funeral costs and expenses. We can’t express enough how grateful and appreciative we are to all of you. In our family’s darkest time, you all have brought us a little light. Seeing how loved he was is truly beautiful. If you would rather donate directly to Scott’s Funeral Home you can call them directly and make a donation. He will be missed and loved forever.
The man that most people called Israel, a hairdresser in Alvin for over 40 years, has gone to be with Our Lord and Savior. He had deep roots in Alvin and has been a part of this community for many decades. He loved his clients like family and could not wait to get back to the salon to cut their hair. Thank y’all for supporting him all these years.
We are beyond grateful that God chose him to be the person that we got to call Daddy and our children got to call Poppy. He has four children, 7 grand kids and 1 great grand daughter that loved him dearly and will miss him immensely. Our daddy could fix and build anything. He loved his plants and flowers. 9 times outta 10 if you drove by his home, he’d be outside watering his plants. He loved his momma’s breakfast tacos, she’d bring them to him and hang out with him at his salon everyday. He loved being with his brother and sister in law who lived 3 houses down from him. He loved the weather, he’d call his daughter Leah and warn her of hurricanes or storms approaching cause she lives on the water. You could often find him at the gas station near his salon scratching some scratch offs, or sitting out in front of his shop waving at everyone who drove by. Israel loved God and his family with his entirety. And he loved people, he never met a stranger.
Although words cannot describe the sadness we feel, we find comfort knowing that he is with Jesus and all the ones that have gone before him, probably giving everyone free haircuts.
A viewing will be held here in Alvin at Scott’s Funeral Home this Friday from 5-8pm. Our family would love for anyone who would like to pay their respects to come by. His service will be at 10:30am this Saturday at Scott’s funeral home. We welcome anyone to join us, we know he had a lot of people who really loved him. Thank you all for supporting him and loving him. He will truly be missed by many.
We know you’ll be saving us a seat Daddy, see you on the other side. - a message from Israel’s children
