Israel Concert Tour-Study Trip with TMU Chorale

On Feb. 9th, 2023 at 10PM an ecstatic, 23-year old girl was jumping up and down exclaiming “thank you, Lord!” in an empty parking lot. I had just stepped outside after rehearsing with the Culver City Symphony when Doc. Paul T. Plew called me with breaking news: a spot opened up for me to join The Master’s Chorale on their Israel/Italy Musical Study Tour THIS MAY 7-22nd!

Will you join me and the chorale as we enter into what God is doing today in the land of the Bible? This year will mark the 8th time TMU Chorale is touring Israel under the leadership of Dr. Paul T. Plew, who has been conducting the group since 1979. We were scheduled to tour Israel/Italy when I was a student and piano accompanist for the group in 2021 and 2022. COVID postponed the trip both of those years, so Dr. Plew graciously invited myself and the other graduates to re-enter the chorale and join the current group of singers on tour.

Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Samaria, Galilee, and Ephraim are just a few of the places where we will sing songs of spiritual refreshment and study rich biblical history. One of the things I am most excited for is to sing a word-for-word choral arrangement of Isaiah 2:1-5 in the very location where the events described are prophesied to take place! I am also very grateful for the opportunity to visit the Bachmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv and take piano lessons with faculty. After ten days in Israel, we will spend six days working to assist veteran missionaries Fred and Rachel Whitman in their ministry to the people of Italy.

To raise the $4500 necessary for this musical study trip (airfare, lodging, travel expenses, tuition for study ($3000), most meals, and a small amount of supplies), I am giving a series of solo piano fundraising concerts near Boise, Idaho, and Culver City, California. Please come enjoy a sonorously exquisite fundraiser concert which will include one of the hardest pieces in all of keyboard repertoire, Stravinsky's "Petrouchka," and the premiere of my recent composition entitled "Aurum" on one of the dates listed below or on my YouTube channel (see below).

Most importantly, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122)" and our ministry there towards the end God has declared in Isaiah 2, "It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains...For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide disputes for many peoples... nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. O house of Jacob come, let us walk in the light of the Lord."
