Israel Barrios Memorial Fund
Donation protected
My name is Lauren Morales, I am the wife of Michael Morales, Israel's younger brother. It is with great sadness to say that Israel Barrios, age 32, of Austin, Texas tragically passed away in a car accident on Monday May 13, 2019. This loss was sudden and devastating for his family and friends. Those that knew Israel knew he had a positive outlook on life, an infectious smile and laugh and kind and generous heart. He was an incredibly hard working guy that was passionate about what he did. He was one of the most genuine people you'd come across, you never questioned where you stood with him and you always knew his opinion.
To tell you a little about Israel, he was born on October 18, 1986 in Palacios, Texas to Irma (Barrios) Faas. He was a graduate of Palacios High School in 2005. Israel was accepted into the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and honorably graduated in 2006. He was a chef for the University of Texas, the Salt Lick and Uncle Billy's in Austin, Texas. Israel loved to fish, travel, visit the beach, watch movies and thoroughly loved cooking meals for people to enjoy. He is survived by his beloved children Gabriella (11) and Issac Barrios (8) whom he loved most in this world. He is also survived by his parents Irma and Thomas Faas of Port Lavaca. 4 brothers Julio Barrios of Palacios, Texas. Jesse Barrios and his wife Synthia of Palacios, Texas. Michael Morales and I, Lauren of Bay City, Texas. David Morales of Palacios, Texas and 1 sister Irene Guerrero of Palacios, Texas.
We the family of Israel Barrios are pulling together to pay for his funeral expenses. We have set up this fund to help with those expenses and any funds that remain will go to support Israel's beautiful children's futures. We are thankful if you can find it in your heart to help out with a donation and a prayer.
There will be a visitation on Friday May 17th at 10am with the Memorial Service immediately following at 11am at the Grace Funeral Chapel at 1604 W Austin Street Port Lavaca, Texas 77979.
