Be a Hero to Foster Children

We are a group of educators who, in 2004, formed a non profit organization to help children and teens in foster care be sucessful in school. Children can come daily (we even pick them up!) to our after school programs to get help with their homework, get tutored to improve in reading, writing and math and to particate in fun, educational activities such as Lego Robotics, art, magic, engineering, cooking and much more. Foster children, unfortunately, move around a lot, so, regardless of where they might end up, they can continue to come to our centers. For many of our children, we are the only consistent faces and place, as they move from home to home and school to school.  Our students love coming to our programs and all have shown improvement in their behavior, school work and confidence in themselves.
We need help to keep our programs going beyond the end of this year! We haven't told our kids yet that we've run out of funds and they might not be able to come back after the New Year.  (UPDATE as of January 6, 2015--Thanks to your  kindnesss and generosity we are open for sure until the end of January!!!)  We're frantically trying to stay open, hoping for a miracle. Be a hero to foster children and help us to keep our doors open.
