Iconic Sport Performance: Student of the Game is a non-profit organization based out of Columbia, South Carolina. Our mission is to educate parents and student-athletes on the business of sport in order to provide additional sponsorship, networking, and career opportunities for those who aspire to be the best they can be. Our most recent initiative, ISP: Student of the Game Girls Holiday Showcase, gives us an opportunity to shift the culture of basketball in the Midlands area during this holiday season by giving female student-athletes a platform to shine on the basketball court similar to that of our male athletes this holiday season. The event will take place at Ridge View High School on December 20-22, 2018.

 

 It will feature 17 exciting live action games with 10 varsity teams from the South Carolina High School League including: Ridge View, Brookland Cayce, Christ Church Episcopal, Gilbert, Silver Bluff, White Knoll, York Prep, Boiling Springs, and Northwestern. In addition to tournament play, we will host a Community Meet and Greet featuring WNBA player Camille Little of the Phoenix Mercury. Camille will speak about wage-equality, glass ceilings, being a professional in a male dominated field, the business of sport, what it means to be a student-athlete, as well as be available for pictures and autographs at the conclusion of the event.

 

 In a world where you can be anything, we simply believe it’s time to encourage our ladies to shatter glass ceilings and equip them with the confidence and skills necessary to shift their environment and create the lives they want to lead. In this community, we build our son’s to be LeBron’s and Barack’s. I want to be a part of the community that adds just as many Skylar Diggins and Oprah’s. This can be done through adequate exposure, mentorship opportunities, as well as character and leadership development. With a small donation, you can assist us with shifting our community and culture and empower the future generation of FEMALE leaders.

 

 This is a large production and there are many costs associated with this event.  The funds donated for this event will go towards gym rental, necessary personnel fees (referees, announcers, custodial services), providing one meal for our student athletes, and other tournament costs.  Anything you are willing to donate is greatly appreciated!  We look forward to putting on this event and many others like it!
