Hi, my name is Séana and with the help of my two boys, Thomas (7) and Oisín (5) I hope to fundraise for thee best school ever - Isobel Mair School. We are planning to walk up four big Scottish hills over the Summer break.
So…for those of you who know me, you will know my idea of getting outside and into the countryside is sitting under a tree and reading a good book. Now and again I am forced to climb hills with my boys so I thought I would lead the charge this summer having been inspired by the courage and resilience of the pupils in my school.
I am the proud Head Teacher of Isobel Mair School and Family Centre. It is a nursery, Primary and Secondary School for children and young people with a range of Additional Complex Support Needs and all with incredible super powers ♂️
I have been inspired to do this hill walking challenge to replenish our school fund. We use our school fund for many extras that really benefit our young people such as Horse Riding and Aerial Dance. Our school fund ensures quick access to a range of therapeutic learning experiences that hugely benefit our children and young people. However…our coffers are getting a little bare :-(
If you can, I ask that you sponsor this hillwalking challenge and know that your donation however big or small will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot donate, perhaps you would support our school by sharing on your social media?
if even half my FB friends forgo a daily treat such as the price of their take-away coffee… we’d be very happy!
I know this challenge doesn’t compare to the daily struggles of many of our young people and I know I’ll complain the whole way up the hills…however thinking about our children’s joy and smiles when they go horse riding or have a nice massage, will make losing my toenails worth it ❤️
Thank you
