Finding qualified coaches in Greco-Roman wrestling whose qualifications include World and Olympic Gold Medals is a very difficult task. Coaching at its core is leadership and wisdom that demonstrates pedagogical knowledge and skills necessary to mentor young athletes appropriately. In the interest of rebuilding the growth of Greco-Roman wrestling in the United States, an essential step is to introduce a new Coach, Ismael Borrero. Ismael has committed to USA Greco to help us grow, dominate, and bring home medals for our athletes.

Ismael joins to us from Cuba and is a 2016 Olympic Champion, 2015 & 2019 World Champion, and has various other National and International medals. Accompanying him to the United States will be his wife and son. We are creating this fundraiser to help support and keep Ismael in Colorado Springs, CO coaching at the Olympic Training Center. Along with the National Greco coaching Staff, he will be seeking citizenship of our great nation We are very lucky to have Ismael on our team at USA Greco.
