Isle of Wight walk for Doctors Without Borders
My name is Anthony Peters and I am a graphic designer who lives on the south coast of England.
I grew up just across the water from the Isle of Wight, I spent many a happy summer there as a child / teenager, and have since been there with my own children.
It's a tiny strip of land, 23x13 miles, you can drive the length of it in an hour.
So when I calculated recently that Gaza is actually a little smaller than the Isle of Wight I was flabbergasted. The walk from Bembridge to the Needles is exactly the same length as Rafah to Biet Hanoun.
I am going to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières by walking this route, leaving markers along the way denoting where each major town in Gaza would be if placed in the Isle of Wight
The walk will be planned for this side of Christmas, over two days when the weather is good.
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Médecins Sans Frontières UK and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
