Hi my name is Isla and thank you for taking time to visit my go fund me page.

I have been given the opportunity to fly out to Borneo in 2027 on a 4 week expedition with Camps international who offer expeditions across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

I will be living off grid living life in a rural community and working to help create sustainable change.

This trip will definitely push me out of my comfort zone but I am really looking forward to going & helping make a change in the world.

I’ll put a bit more information below about what we will be doing out there if you would like to read it.

On this once un a lifetime opportunity I will be trekking through the heart of the Bornean jungle and helping protect Orangutan habitats, exploring the jungle ecosystem and unexplored tropical wilderness. This trek will be for 5 days & we will be sleeping in hammocks in the jungle during this time. I will be playing an active part in helping to protect this important environment through long- term conservation projects.

I will get the chance to experience true traditional culture as I will live in the heart of a rural village and working alongside local people to support community development.

This trip will give me skills for life & broaden my perspective of the world. It will also help me on my way into adult life after school as this experience is highly regarded in colleges, universities and employers.
