Islamic Library & Media Hyb

Cardiff Muslim High School, a full-time, independent, faith-based High School catering to boys and girls. This has come as the expansion of Cardiff Muslim Primary School, established for over 20 years, located in the heart of Cardiff. Our aim is to provide our pupils with an Islamic Environment in which they can realise their full academic potential, while nurturing and developing their faith.

After an intense year of fundraising in 2023 to help us expand into the High School

we went ahead and successfully managed to establish our interim high school at Harlech Court located in the heart of Cardiff City Centre. Here, we crafted a state-of-the-art launchpad for our high school, a testament to the commitment of our team and the unwavering support of our community.

As a school the emphasis is placed on the school's mission of building student character and instilling leadership skills, all within a faith-positive environment. Through this, we aim to produce model citizens who are confident in their Muslim identities, adhere to the best of human values, and aspire to become future leaders.

To aid us in the establishment of the school we are fundraising this Ramadan for our ILM Hyb - Islamic Library & Media Hyb, this will be a custom designed Library and Media Suite enclosed within our High School that will serve the pupils throughout their journey at the school, providing them with current and relevant study materials, along with media suites and a quiet space to work. Following that during the evenings and weekends, the Hyb will be open to our Cardiff Community to use the space for private study and research.

The establishment of our ILM Hyb will allow us to have a range of excellent amenities for students, including:

• A wide range of reading/study materials

• A wide range of Islamic literature

• Quiet study area with learning spaces for individual study

• Media Area with desktops, iPad, headphones etc

• Reading corner

What your donation will mean

• £5000 - Towards the fit out of the area

• £1000 - will pay for 3 Desktops

• £500 - will pay for 2 iPads

• £250 - will pay for 2 Learning Spaces

• £100 - will purchase 10 Books

We aim to have the ILM Hyb ready and open to serve the Pupils by September 2024 for the new academic Year.

Prophet Muhammad (s) said:

‘When a man dies his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge and a righteous child who will pray for him.’ (Muslim)

Through this project not only can you fulfil all three parts of this hadith but also leave a lasting legacy for Muslim communities in Wales, which will continue to benefit many generations after us Insha’Allah.
