Help a Mother and Her Daughter Return to Safety

At HEY MOMIE, we believe motherhood was never meant to be survived alone. And no mother should have to carry fear, homelessness, or violence on top of carrying her child.

Isidora arrived in Berlin in December 2023, more than seven months pregnant, hoping to start a new life. Within weeks, she became homeless. She spent the end of her pregnancy in shelters and temporary housing, and gave birth without stability, family, or support.

What followed were months of isolation, exhaustion, and escalating psychological and physical violence. She was parenting entirely alone, sleeping in fragments while exclusively breastfeeding her daughter. When she tried to leave the abusive relationship she was in, she was threatened, manipulated, and controlled. There were assaults and police were involved. She lost her flight home because promised documents were withheld from her.

To keep a roof over her baby’s head, she worked wherever she could and even sold her long hair to help pay rent.

Now, after everything, she finally has the signed authorization to leave Germany with her daughter. Their flight back to Chile is scheduled for the end of March.

She is not asking for luxury, only for safety, rest, and the chance to raise her daughter in peace, surrounded by family back in Chile.

We are raising funds to cover remaining living costs, travel expenses, and basic stability as they return home.
