Isela Gomez is a single mother to the three most important people in her life. Isela Gomez works full-time to support her three beautiful children. When she’s not inspiring self-confidence in her many clients as a professional stylist, Isela Gomez works evenings and weekends as a designer to guarantee her children have a stable life and future.
Isela Gomez was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma.
This is the story of Isela Gomez. This is not a story of defeat, or doubt, or lost battles. Isela fights every day to make life as normal as possible for her children. Since her diagnosis three years ago, Isela has fought: the lump in her knee, removed in 2012; the tumor in her lung, partly removed along with a portion of her lung a year later; the chemotherapy she has endured since then to reduce the tumor that remains in her lung. More surgery to come. More chemotherapy required.
Isela would never tell you any of this. With her steadfast commitment to God, her children and life, she doesn’t ask for help—she helps others. She doesn’t wait for support—she supports those around her, with unwavering kindness, energy, and love… even when she can hardly muster the energy to walk.
Knowing her, Isela would never ask for anything from anyone, but if she ever needed her friends and family, it is today.
Today, your financial gift will help Isela focus on her recovery and her children. Today, your support will help alleviate the financial pressures from Isela not being able to work at this time.
Thank you for making a profound difference in the life of someone who has made a profound difference in the lives of all those around her. With love from her friends and family.
