A Mother’s Plea: Help My Son Isaiah Get a Second Chance at Life

My name is Azalia Johnson, and I’m reaching out with a humble and hopeful heart. My son, Isaiah, just 29 years old, is fighting for his life as he waits for a heart transplant at Stanford Medical Center, Palo Alto CA.

For the past 14 years, our family has been navigating the challenges of my children’s heart condition — a journey filled with faith, tears, and countless moments of courage. But this is Isaiah’s hardest battle yet. His heart is failing, and time is running out.

We’ve launched Isaiah’s Village of Hope, a campaign built from the same love and faith that have carried us this far. Even with Medicare’s help, the total cost of Isaiah’s transplant, recovery, travel, and long-term care is expected to exceed $1 million.
